Overview
9/16 Cover Band was a commercially successful live music project that I led as both frontman and organizer. In addition to performing as lead singer, I was responsible for promoting the band, shaping its public image, and positioning it for different audiences and event formats.
This role gave me hands-on experience in music-related marketing: presenting a live act in a way that matched the audience, creating promotional content, and using visuals and messaging to support bookings and visibility.

What I Handled
- Promoted the band across concert halls, festivals, weddings, bars, and private events
- Booked performances and negotiated pricing, scheduling, set structure, transportation, and technical requirements
- Directed the band's promotional materials, including flyers, photoshoots, visual assets, and promo videos
- Created event-focused video content and social media materials to support awareness, bookings, and attendance
- Worked with designers, photographers, and videographers to produce polished materials aligned with the band's image and target audience
- Adapted the band's presentation and atmosphere depending on the venue, occasion, and audience expectations
Why This Matters
This experience taught me how to market a music project through creative presentation, audience understanding, and consistent visual identity. I learned that successful promotion is not only about visibility, but about making the offer feel right for the people you want to reach.
I was responsible for helping the band stand out in different settings and for making sure that the way we looked and communicated supported the kinds of bookings and audiences we wanted to attract.

From Performance to Promotion
Leading 9/16 was not only about being on stage. It was also about understanding what made people book us, remember us, and recommend us.
I worked on the band as both a creative and promotional project: shaping how it was presented, adjusting the tone and setlist to fit different occasions, and making sure our visuals supported the image we wanted to communicate. Whether the audience was attending a concert, a festival, a wedding, or a bar performance, the goal was to make the band feel relevant, polished, and memorable.
